EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL

USES:  Emollients are substances which soften and moisturize the skin.  Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).  

HOW TO USE:  This medication is to be applied to the skin as directed. <br/><br/>Avoid use in the eyes. <br/>

SIDE EFFECTS:  Most emollients can be used safely and effectievly with no side effects.  However, if redness, irritation or itching occur or continue, notfiy your doctor or pharmacist. <br/>Inform your doctor if the condition for which this medication was prescribed does not improve after a few days.  If you notcie other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. 

PRECAUTIONS:  Tell your doctor your mediacl history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allergies.  Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you are pregannt or breast-feeding.  

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin products.  <br/><br/>Do not strat or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. 

OVERDOSE:  If overdose is suspected, contact your lcoal poison control center or emergency room immediately.  This mdeicine may be harmful if swallowed.  

NOTES:  There are many tyeps of emollient products available.  Some contain other ingredeints or may be scented.  <br/><br/>They are available in differnet forms such as oils, creams, lotions or sprays.  Consult with your doctor or pahrmacist on the product that may be hottest for you. 

MISSED DOSE:  Skip missed dose and resume your regular schedule.   

STORAGE:  Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. <br/>Do not freeze the liquid forms.]]></description>
